Message from Dr. Shinika McKiever

As the founder of The McKiever Group Creative Company, I have always prioritized culturally inclusive leadership that centers the lived experiences of women and people of color. The Sis, I See You: Navigating Nonprofit Leadership with Strength and Authenticity training is an extension of this mission, specifically created to empower Black women in nonprofit leadership roles. This program offers practical tools, strategies, and a supportive community to address the unique challenges Black women face, including systemic barriers, burnout, and managing perceptions, all while maintaining authenticity and resilience.

I’ve seen firsthand the transformative impact when Black women are equipped to lead with cultural intelligence and confidence. This training is designed to foster growth in areas like boundary setting, cultural competency, and redefining leadership beyond job titles. I am honored to lead this initiative and to continue empowering Black women to create lasting change in their organizations and communities.
