Dr. Shinika McKiever

Chief Creative Officer, The McKiever Group Creative Company

Dr. Shinika McKiever is a visionary leader with over fifteen years of experience in the philanthropic, nonprofit, and business sectors. As the founder of The McKiever Group Creative Company, she specializes in developing culturally competent programming and leadership training, with a focus on empowering women and people of color.


Dr. McKiever holds a doctorate in leadership studies from North Carolina A&T State University and is recognized for her research on adaptive leadership and inclusive practices. Her work aims to inspire and develop natural talents and leadership capabilities, making significant impacts through creative and purpose-driven solutions.

Timica Melvin, MPA

Senior Vice President of Asset Management, INLIVIAN; President, Nexus Housing Solutions

Timica Melvin brings over 15 years of expertise in the housing industry, specializing in asset management, program implementation, and affordable housing solutions. As the Senior Vice President of Asset Management at INLIVIAN and the President of Nexus Housing Solutions, she focuses on creating strategic plans that enhance housing environments and support families towards self-sufficiency.


Timica holds a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University, where she excelled as a HUD Fellow. Her commitment extends to improving social and economic equity, with a dedicated passion for breaking generational poverty through effective housing policies and programs.

Dr. Bryle Henderson Hatch

Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services

Dr. Bryle Henderson Hatch is a leader in diversity, equity, and inclusion, with extensive experience across educational and government sectors. Currently, he spearheads strategic initiatives to foster an inclusive work environment for over 15,000 state employees.


With a robust background in DEI leadership roles and a strong commitment to community engagement, Dr. Hatch is known for his impactful consultancy and leadership in major diversity projects. He holds degrees in speech communication, adult and higher education, and leadership studies from North Carolina A&T State University.

Shereá D. Burnett, J.D., VSP

Executive Director, Partners Ending Homelessness

Shereá Burnett is a passionate advocate and leader with a focus on serving marginalized communities. A citizen of the Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation, her work is deeply informed by her Afro-Indigenous heritage. Shereá's career includes significant roles in addressing homelessness, domestic violence, and child and family welfare.


Notable for her dynamic approach to civic engagement and community-driven initiatives, she also serves as an Adjunct Professor and a prominent voice in community-focused publications. Shereá holds a J.D. from Elon University School of Law.

Sofia S. Crisp

Founder and Executive Director, Housing Consultants Group

Sofia S. Crisp has over 30 years of experience as a housing professional, specializing in real estate brokerage and education for first-time homebuyers. As the founder of Housing Consultants Group, she leads efforts in housing counseling and financial capability education.


Sofia is a recognized leader in community service, with numerous awards for her contributions, including the 2018 Volunteer of the Year by the NC Housing Coalition. She holds multiple certifications in nonprofit and financial counseling, demonstrating her dedication to empowering communities through education and support.
